The 64th Annual General Assembly of the National Churches Fellowship of Nepal (NCFN) was held from the 5th to the 7th in Chitwan, home to Nepal’s national park, under the theme “Restore Us” (Psalm 85).
This year’s assembly featured Pastor David Chung, President of David Chung Ministries International (DCMi), as the keynote speaker. Approximately 1,200 pastors attended the gathering, far exceeding expectations and resulting in a remarkable turnout. The organizers had originally anticipated around 600 participants, but were astonished by the passion of Nepali pastors for the gospel and missions.
The annual assembly proved to be a highly significant moment for the unity and revival of the Nepali church, as leaders from numerous denominations across Nepal gathered to strengthen cooperation in ministry.
As a plenary speaker, Pastor Chung emphasized the importance of training next-generation leaders, casting a vision for the future of the Nepali church.
Pastor Chung stated, “In Nepal, a Hindu-majority nation, Christians will not only rise as leaders in politics and business, but will even produce a prime minister. This nation will be transformed by the gospel.” He continued, “Please stand with us so that leaders like Daniel may rise across every sector of Nepali society, bringing Christian reform and revival.”

On the second day of the assembly, DCMi leaders presented detailed plans for leadership development programs for Nepali youth and pastors. Based on recommendations from Nepali church leaders, the ministry plans to begin training next-generation leaders. In addition, presidents of eight of Nepal’s largest theological seminaries were invited to discuss education strategies for developing future church leaders in Nepal.
Meanwhile, Dr. Brian Winsdale of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), who delivered the opening worship service sermon, declared, “The Nepali church is by no means a forgotten church,” adding,
“More than six million evangelicals are currently standing together with the church in Nepal.”
His remarks were met with enthusiastic applause.
