Dear Friends,
While in Ivory Coast, I had dinner with the current and previous Chairs of the Evangelical Federation of Ivory Coast and the President of the Lutheran denomination. While we were discussing widespread leadership problems, the current Chair said he would seek a way for me to come back next year to speak to all denominational leaders about how to overcome differences and work together.
One of the pastors in my leadership development course was from Guinea and he pleaded with me to come to Guinea to develop pastors in Guinea.
Though I taught in English through an interpreter, every time I spoke a little French, the pastors cheered me on. I feel like the door to the other parts of West Africa is slowly opening up. I safely returned home late Saturday night.
With Much Joy and Gratitude,
David
