Thank you for your prayers and support!

I made it home last week.

I arrived in Ethiopia and was warmly greeted by my long-term two mentees Reverends Wondwossen and Tamarat with traditional handshakes, hugs, cheek kisses, flowers, and smiles.

The mission for GenX leaders serving in the remote regions of Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, and Eritrea was undertaken with dedication.

The days were long and hot, with travel between regions carried out either by small plane or old land cruiser, often involving some risk. Nonetheless, the mission proved to be valuable.

Enjoy my brief overview of the time spent that guided the development and leadership of this mission for Kingdom Advancement.

Spending time with the local leading pastors and leaders in remote regions of Dire Dawa and Harar –which is considered an important city in Islam.

We spent several hours praying, while supporting the churches in the city and providing a 3-day program focused on Pastoral and Ministry Leadership Development. It is an intensive, engaging, and action-oriented strategy that provides hope and new inspired vision.

We have successfully completed our leadership cohort consisting of 65 young individuals at a modest Bible college, which provided full support despite limited resources.

This cohort represented five different countries and spoke over six different East African languages.

These dedicated young people aim to transform their refugee camps and nations for the Gospel. The leadership development topics covered included “Godly Character & Integrity Leadership” and “Cross-Culturalism”.

Their passion, honesty, vulnerability, and zeal fostered unity and encouraged them to make more disciples and practice accountability in every sphere of influence.

My week concluded with empowering widowed, persecuted women and displaced individuals by providing seed money, pattern samples, and two donated sewing machines for an Income Driven and Sustainability Program.

In just four days, they created bags, dresses, and table runners, experiencing smiles, tears, resilience, and hope.

Additionally, I purchased 10 more sewing machines, set up five small coffee shops, and a modest store strategically in regions where the good news was needed.

This new thing that God brought manifested his hope and personal transformation by putting the gospel in action.
